Registration form must be completed and dues paid prior to walking in the parade.

Dogs must have current rabies certificate (proof of current Rabies Vaccine).

Escort is responsible for member’s discharge. YOU MUST SCOOP YOUR POOP! Ziplock bags will be available at the registration table.

Dogs must not be “in season”.

Each dog MUST be escorted on a leash by someone at least 18 years of age.

Dogs will be grouped according to size for the parade. Your dog must walk in its assigned place.

In accordance with the requirements of our insurance carrier, all dogs 75 lbs. and over and all     Chows, Pit Bulls, and Rottweilers may be required to be muzzled; other dogs may be required to undergo a temperament test or be moved to a safe zone, if dog displaying negative behavior .

Costumes for dogs are encouraged.

No display of political, controversial, or religious ideal is allowed.

Throws must be non-edible, non-religious, non-controversial, non-political, and contain no advertisement unless prior approval received from the Krewe. Approval may be obtained by mailing request to Krewe des Chiens prior to parade.

Don’t forget to bring lots of throws for the parade.  Guest  viewing the parade will be ready to catch lots of Mardi Gras Doggie Loot!   NO EDIBLE THROWS!

No motorized vehicles allowed.

Parade passes must be displayed in order to walk in parade.

No alcohol before or during the parade.

Please respect each dogs “space” (keep your dog a leash distance from other dogs).

No flex leads or shock collars.
