Queen Filé XI
Queen Filé XI, Jazzi, is the adopted best friend of 12 year old Olivia Rodts-Palenik. She was saved within 1 day of extinction by the Schnauzer Rescue Org. of Baton Rouge, and came to live with her new best friend when Olivia’s ankle was broken and she needed a friend to snuggle with. After studying many dog shows, it was determined that Jazzi was likely from the non-working category, slacker division. Jazzi is excited to be named Queen File’, and be recognized as the royalty she always knew she was!
King Gumbo XI
King Gumbo XI, Ernie, is the canine son of Suzette Tardo and the late Ronald Tardo. Ernie was rescued from a nearby bridge as an abandoned puppy. Ernie has grown up to be a very sweet, loving boy and quite tolerate of his four other rescued canine siblings, and his seven rescued feline siblings. Ernie loves to play fetch, wrestle and ride in the car.
Royal Duchess
Royal Duchess Shug Comeaux is the canine daughter of Lydia and Walter Comeaux, III. She is a 4 yr old Chihuahua, whose favorite past time is playing tag with her brother "Gizmo". Shug's primary goal in life is getting her tummy rubbed, which she accomplishes daily!
Royal Duke
Royal Duke, Rudy, is the Alpha dog of the Bordelon pet family which includes 2 dogs and 3 cats. His humans are Linda and Woody Bordelon. Rudy was found on Thanksgiving Day 2002 in the parking lot of Super One Food store. We like to say he just fell from heaven and was meant for us. His favorite activities are; riding in the car with his head out of the window, taking long walks, and best of all, chasing squirrels. Rudy loves showing off and people pleasing and is proudly looking forward to serving as Duke of Krewe De Chiens this year.
Court Jester
Court Jester, Gus, is a two year old Maltese. After living in many different homes in the Lake Charles area Gus Alabaster found his best friend , Ally Beduze. Both Gus and his human are very excited to participate is this years’ dog parade.
Grand Marshal
Cooper Lynn will serve as the Krewes’ Grand Marshal. The position for Grand Marshal was auction off live on radio station 99.9 with CJ and Debbie Ray. Cooper Lynn is the canine daughter of Pamela Darden and Rose Migues. She is a 2 year old, 2.5 pound teacup yorkie that is spoiled beyond belief. She loves to go for walks in the neighborhood and her favorite treat is cheerios. Cooper Lynn is the "2008 Cutie Patootie Contest" winner to benefit the Iberia Humane Society.
