2001 Royalty
King Gumbo III, a neutered 6 month old, 15 pound Pekingese mix was adopted from the Animal Rescue Foundation. Queen Filé III, a spayed 6 month old, 10 pound terrier mix was adopted from the Lafayette Parish Animal Shelter.
These trained canines were sold to the highest bidder at the live auction portion of the Krewe des Chiens People Ball. Other royalty members were selected by a raffle drawing that took place at the Krewe des Chiens Announcement Party held in May 2000.
